Linvilla Orchards Family Trip!

Baby Bear and I went for a very last-minute trip to Linvilla Orchards in Media, PA.
I have been going to Linvilla Orchards since I was a bitty baby.  This picture was taken in October 1984 and I was born in November:

This is another favorite picture of mine from the 1980s.  They still use this board for people to take pictures with:

It's nearly impossible to tell it's Linville, but this is my brother and I in 1986:

This may be our last year going.  Or we are going to try to go very early in the season.  My master plan this year was to to in September before the Halloween crowds started rolling in.  Unfortunately, September was VERY rained out this year thanks to Hurricane Irene and other fronts, so we had to go in October.

Linvilla has rightfully become very popular, no thanks to Pumpkinland, apple and pumpkin picking, hay rides, its awesome apple cider and much more.   We didn't even attempt to go into the Playground, which has fun wooden structures to play on.

Getting there took a while and the babies starting getting a bit fussy.  It was worth it in the end, but it was very hectic.  Next year, I hope to blog about either Shady Brook Farms and/or Winding Brook Farms.

Here are some pumpkin, orchard and baby goodness for your enjoyment:

Pumpkin shaped fire pits for sale.
Clown on a uni cycle juggling.  Now that takes talent.
A pumpkin among pumpkins.

Pretty pumpkin art.

Giant Pumpkins!  These things were enormous!

Here she is in the same spot last year.  My, how she's grown!

Amazing Linvilla sand sculpture.

Despite the crowds, I still love Linvilla.
